Always on My Mind is a contemporary romance novel by Jill Shalvis. This is the 8th book in the Lucky Harbor series.
When I picked up this book and started to read it I was so mad at myself. Why? Because like most Jill Shalvis books, once you start reading them you can’t put them down and this one was no different. And like a dummy, I started reading it late in the day and even though I was tired I couldn’t make myself stop reading.
I wouldn’t go as far to say this was the best book in the Lucky Harbor series, but I will say that this one won’t disappoint. This story revolves around Leah, who had a run of bad luck on a reality TV show and came back to Lucky Harbor to rebuild her life.
It’s a sweet story about two lifelong friends who for one reason or another never really had more than a friendship despite the fact that they obviously have a lot of heat between them.
I love all the wonderful people that make up the town of Lucky Harbor and it’s great to continue on with the series.
On the bad side, once you read so many books in a series they start to sound so much like the ones before it. This book could have used a little something just different enough to set it apart from the 7 other books in the series that came before it.
Don’t get me wrong, I liked the book, it just needed something more to make it truly spectacular.
