Just The Sexiest Man Alive by Julie James may very well be her best work yet. Don’t get me wrong, I love all of her books but this one was something special and broke the mold of her typical I’m too good for every one female heroine attitude.

Nothing fazes Taylor Donovan. In the courtroom, she never lets the opposition see her sweat. In her personal life, she never lets any man rattle her—not even her cheating ex-fiancé. So when she’s assigned to coach People’s “Sexiest Man Alive” for his next big legal drama, she refuses to fall for the Hollywood heartthrob’s charms. Even if he is the Jason Andrews.
CONFIDENT. FAMOUS. IRRESISTIBLE…
Jason Andrews is used to having women fall at his feet. When Taylor Donovan gives him the cold shoulder, he’s thrown for a loop. She’s unlike any other woman he’s ever met: uninterested in the limelight, seemingly immune to his advances, and shockingly capable of saying no to him. She’s the perfect challenge. And the more she rejects him, the more he begins to realize she may just be his perfect match…
Julie James is an amazing writer. No matter what a person may think of a particular story she has written, the writing itself is always solid. She has an undeniable skill. In fact, this book is so well written you would be hard pressed to date the book. Shockingly this particular title came out about 6 1/2 years ago.
Would I recommend it to a friend? Yes, very much so. Would I read it again? Yes. It really was a great book.
The only real problem I have with the book it that it costs over $7 for the Kindle version. It cost basically the same amount for the e=book as it does for the paperback. I realize this is the fault of the publisher and not Amazon, and to be honest it really bothers me. That’s just greedy. A book like this shouldn’t cost over $5. That’s just ridiculous that it does – especially if you keep in mind that this book came out in 2008. After so many years there is really no excuse for it other than flat out greed on part of the publisher.
When it comes to any book written by Julie James, you know you are going to get a great love story that is very well written. You can’t really say that about every author. With so many, it’s a hit or miss but with Julie James, you are sure to get a solid read, every single time.
